The wealth bearer
« on: May 23, 2014, 01:57:12 PM »
Hi, I'm getting into this contest to try Substance, for almost my first time seriously.

So i'm creating the wealth bearer, a titan who wander around the world since its creation. While nobody seems to care about what he is doing, almost everybody try to follow his trail to scavange the gold nugget, and gemstone that fall from his body. It is said that the platform fixed in his back is a construction from people who tried to mine out directly from his back.

Even if he sometimes destroy a building or a herd, there is usually enough ore in the rubble to make up for it.

Don't take me wrong! Good weird! It's weird to dig gems from the back of a titan. Very original concept!

It's been a while since I started this, it's time to show my progress. Here are my Hi res model and the lowpoly, with the current state of the texture (i'm still tweaking it form time to time) and the start of the pedestal still in substance. If you guys have any advice about the amethyst, i'd be glad to listen. Othe comment or critics are also welcome.

I think I got my final pose for my titan... now i need to devellop the pedestal again, those bushes are really dull.
Also, I tried to export an .sbsar, just to try what you can do with it, but I have an error. I read it's due to difference between texture size inside the project, but now everything is clean and i still got some error. any idea where does that come from?
thanks.

please advice and critics are welcomed

The more I looked at it, the more the amethyst was annoying me. So I tried with emerald... any preference?

IMO white/light cyan crystals will create more contrast on the background.
