This iClone section of the forum sure is lonely.

Reallusion has recently started announcing their plans for iClone 7, hopefully to arrive in March of 2017.

One of the long-awaited improvements is a PBR shader.  That should make the use of Substance Designer and Painter much more interesting to the iClone community.  Materials with exposed parameters are fun, but it's a shame to have to dumb them down to iClone 6's non-PBR shader.

Work-in-process video #1 has been released, with #2 targeted for January and #3 in February.

There's not a lot of iClone news or activity here, but I will give two quick updates.

1) iClone 7 is now released, and it has phenomenal improvements in its visual quality.

2) My suggestion that iClone support the $TIME variable on substances has been granted, so now things like "animated caustics" will actually animate inside iClone.  Very cool.
