We have updated the Houdini plugin for version 16. You can get the latest plugin on our download page.

Here is the changelog:

Substance Designer 6 Support
- Normals now show up properly in viewport
- Images now have the correct orientation
- Image Input Paths now save properly
- Added support for SD6 floating point outputs
- Added support for SD6 string inputs
- Fixed the viewport not updating on Linux when input values are changed
- General performance improvements

HI Kevin,

That is correct. It only works in the SHOP context for now. Our long term plan is to move it to VOP.

What about third party renderers like redshift for example?
The only solution I found is to have two shaders one for preview and one for the renderer and switch between them
This is not ideal.

And height displacement is still not shown in the viewport ...
Why? it is so useful in houdini ...

Like the others, I would LOVE to see this work in the new MAT context.
