Author Topic: Octane Cinema 4D Workflow  (Read 455 times)

Hey, guys!
I've read a lot about the Substance > Octane workflow, but I still didn't understand why people keep saying to work with Metal/Roughness or Specular/Glossiness if Octane imputs are Diffuse, Specular and Roughness. Shouldn't I use the export conversion to match the Octane C4D imputs?

Also if I keep my IOR 1.0 for everything, how could I achieve the Fresnel result properly? I can mix with falloff node but It wouldn't be accurate.

I hope someone could help me
(sorry for my englsh)

Hi,

In the Octane Live DB there is a Substance material you can use that takes metallic/basecolor/roughness as input.
