Author Topic: Base color as primary input for metallic materials  (Read 145 times)

Currently all the material nodes in its compacted green linking style are a total not working mess not inheriting scale relations or any color at all.  Confusing and misleading.

I believe the main reason is "diffuse color" set as a primary input  while in U4 style "metallic" approach it doesn't show up at all for some nodes.
 
Would it be so much easier if all the material nodes switch its primary input to base color automatically while the substance set to metallic kind of shader.

I am a bit tired of redoing each and all of them  on my own again and again after program updates  since something always goes wrong in your custom often messy nodes after a sudden update.

And please make grunge in base material  having "non-square expansion" too
