Author Topic: Set export path in scripting?  (Read 322 times)

How do you set the export path for a project through scripting?

I can get it through alg.mapexport.exportPath, but I can't find a way in the docs to set it.

I ended up saving this as a key/value pair using the alg.project.settings. Which works fine for my script. I just would have thought if you can get it from the internal data, that you could set it as well.

Let me know if there's something I'm not finding in the scripting docs.

any example? struggling with the same issue. My goal was to set the export path on save.
The API is so limited that all attempts to pipeline the Painter feel like hacks..

Indeed, it's not possible to set the export path via the scripting API at the moment.

You can save settings in projects by calling :
Code: [Select]
alg.project.settings.setValue("ExportPath", "C:/Export/")
You can later retrieve it with :
Code: [Select]
Take a look at alg.project.settings in the documentation for further information.
Don't forget your log file. It can be exported from the Help menu of the software.
