Hello folks! I have been working on a project for these past few months and finally have wrapped it up. I really wanted to get on this PBR hype-train and learn Substance Painter. He is around 22k tri's with one 2048. Hope you enjoy!

Nice job :-)

One modeling input : you could improve the way you spread you polycount budget : some "almost flat" surfaces like the feet are quite dense, while the fingers seems quite low res.

Vincent,

Thank you very much for your comments. Good call on the poly budget! I was doing some optimization, especially for the polygons that aren't visible and the boots slipped my eye!

Thanks again for taking a look, very much appreciated!

I think you have a very nice organic looking mech.

What are you using this for? Game engine?

For sure you are doing great getting the PBR, only critique, maybe a bit to shiny on the white areas? Maybe just the lighting.

Edit: I only say shiny because the metal it self looks roughed up. So the paint wouldn't have as large of glare, maybe its just me. ;-)

Teoti,

Thank you! I am using this piece for my portfolio, ultimately I would like to put this guy in Unreal Engine 4. I really appreciate your critique and feeback, I understand what you are saying about the glare in the white paint. I am going to play around with the lighting in between projects and see if I can't get a better result and eliminate some of that glare!

Again, thank you for taking a look! I really appreciate it!
