Hi,

I want to rotate a input image (using a transform 2D node) around a specific pivot position.
I found the function node Rotate Vec2, is it the good one to do it?
Does someone know about this function node and how is it working?

Hi,

I would like to make a very simple tile, the shape is pretty simple.
It's a hexagon with a non uniform bevel.

Can someone could help me doing the height map?
I tried with differents beveled shapes that I mix together, but it does not work.

Hi,

I have a hardware question about GPU.

I plan to buy a Dell Precision 7530 equipped with an NVIDIA Quadro P3200 6 Go GDDR5.
Do you know if it will work fine with with SP and SD? Does any people has this kind of configuration?
I would prefer buying an Geforce GTX because I heard you can have issues with Quadro GPU with some 3d softwares, but unfortunately all the Dell Precision are set with Quadro.

I have a problem with Iray, the normal map seems to be weird.

Is it the same problem that I had with Painter?
Hey, apparently it's the Normal map bitdepth in iray
They are not 16bit
We have reported the problem to Nvidia

Or is it more a hardware problem? (I have a Nvidia Gtx980).

Hi,

I have an issue with the rendering with Iray.
Some wears reflections appears.
In Painter's viewport everything is ok.

I checked my UVs, the hdri.
I changed the plane (Circle), with a new one (PolyDisc - So, no central vertex)

Do you have any idea?

I've just created a Alpha substance in Designer with few parameters.
I have some questions about the integration in Painter.
-Alpha Size
   - If I export my substance from Designer with Relative To Parents set, my alpha looks like it's the size is set to 256px, so the quality is bad.
   - If I export my substance with Output Size checked, this parameters is not accessible in Painter.

- How can I share in Substance Share the thumbnail of my substance? I can set an icon in Designer, but when I import it in Painter the icon is still the PreviewSphere.

Just wondering what is the difference between the template PBR - Metallic Roughness and PBR - Metallic Roughness HQ ?
I mean, I suppose HQ is for Hight Quality of course, but what are concretely the settings changed if I choose PBR - Metallic Roughness HQ ?

Hi,

Can I link parameters together without having to expose them?

I have a Shape "Circle_Out" and want to merge it with an other Shape "Circle_In" to product a ring.

Can I "link" the size parameters of Circle_Out to (Circle_In - 5)?
I don't want to expose Circle_Out size, because I don' t want to make it visible in my .sbs parameters.

Not sure if I am clear. I am a new Designer user, maybe there is a node to quickly make rings  :o  ::)
