Here is adobe's first Allegorithmic promo.

adobe's understanding of Substance is someone trying to stamp 8 holes on a model using a toaster machine as a computer and trying to render it with the garbage called Dimension.

OMG... That promo... No words...

I'm not really sure about this move guys... I can understand the financial side of the deal but sometimes it's better to have less and instead be loved by your users. I think that not many of them will support this decision.
Analogy here is any young talanted football player who has decided to move to China instead of participating in Champions League. He will quickly earn some money but he will never be a Golden Ball nominee...

Substance PainterSubstance Painter - Showcase - Maple Samurai

My entry for the real-time character category of Feudal Japan Challange on ArtStation. Maple Samurai it is! I had only two days for texturing (yep the same as with Wild West challenge) but thanks to Substance painter I hope I've managed to do it right. https://www.artstation.com/artwork/e0ldaY Arigato for checking it out! :)

Maybe not that much of a texturing work here but everything on the materials side is still made in Painter. It was my old dream to make a 3D donkey character for the avatar one day to match my nickname. Eventually it grew into something bigger which is also a homage to Saturday Night Fever movie and the era of disco and funk music. Party people of Allegorithmic Community bring you dancing shoes here!

The exact same thing happens with my account. Guess I need to send an email too then.

Hi!

My previous Substance Designer license has expired on 30/06/18. I've bought Substance Designer 2018 in Steam a couple of weeks ago. When I'm trying to sync it to my Allegorithmic account "Could not find any product to sync" appers. Steam profile is set to Public. Could you, please, help me?

Thank you in advance.

Best regards, Pavel.

This is amazing! I love seeing all the weird SD stuff that people come up with!
Thank you!)

Oh wow, that is so cool.

I think I'll have to have some later today.

Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Justav!

Bon appetit then. ;)

And Merry Christmas once again. :)

There you go guys! Cozy material for a cozy holidays time.

Realistic foam was quite a problem but I hope that I've finally solved it.

Merry Christmas substance people!

Please show us the graph when you are done! I am followoing this one!
No problem.

I don't have enough time now but as soon as I have some I'll try to rework the entire graph to make it more seamless.
Hopefully I'll be able to do it near the end of the next week.

Hah, I already have done this one :) How's your progress?
Just testing different approaches to make different elements of the randomized pattern fit better together.
For example here.

It has lost a fragment near the bottom right. And one line is super thin closer to the top. Lots and lots of tweaking...

I think I'm going to make the BG pattern fully randomizable in terms of intersections and interweaves. Just need some time to develop the base logic.

Well... Let's try this one. :)

Although there are several very strange choices in the list I clearly understand that tastes may vary among judjes. Maybe they didn't have enough time to closely look at every model provided considering there are more than 1200 and they (judjes) are humans too with their jobs and families. Maybe it is misunderstanding of criterias by some of them. It doesn't matter after all. It is still a great competition with some great entries among winners. Just accept the fact that there were better MATs out there than some of examples in top 20. I don't like the fact that in many cases (I've spend several minutes to look through their Artstation pages) participants (some of them being well-known professionals) openly wrote that they've spent "a couple of hours" to create MAT. So they did it just for fun. I can imagine their reactions when they have found out that they are among winners)))) I know that sometimes being minimalistic is the key, but for sure there were better minimalistic entries also with much more care and love put into. Anyway...
In the end I want to thank Allegorithmic for one thing I've personally never seen before in any competition. The fact that you've decided to expand the list up to 20 entries because of quantity and quality of submissions is beyond everything. It was such an unexpected and welcomed surprise that everything else is a minor thing compared to it. Thank you once again! It was an incredible decision.
